Visit to Historic San Jose

We all got our morning stuff done by 10:00 to catch a van to San Jose which just about an hour north of Cabo but very developed.  Everyone went except Kristina and Paul as they had been to Cabo San Luis and the San Jose area when they were enjoying their time share in Cabo the month before we left. Bill was home fixing one of Liz and his air conditioners.  We all came clean about our margarita experiences two nights before while on our long van ride.  It seems several us found out the margaritas are very easy to over imbibe. There were lots of laughs as we described what happened as we got up and started to walk home. It was a drive of over an hour through Santiago and miles of scrub, cactus and windy roads. The old square and shops of San Jose were a great place to explore. Liz joined Jim and I on a good walk.

There were wonderful huge paper and paste Dias de los Muertos sculptures sprinkled around. The were dressed in fabric and decorated with paper flowers.

Many streets were decorated with these cut paper decorations as were door ways to stores which included large paper flowers.

We loved this colorful mural this appropriately parked beauty in front of it. The colors were so bright.

Ok, had to do the tourist thing in front of the San Jose del Cabo sign. Lis took this fun picture.

Liz, Jim and I had lunch at this Brewery. Great tacos, good beer, and a visit with Liz that was so enjoyable. We followed this with a chocolate covered bar at a little store were many of our group were already gathered for our van.

This is my internet connection spot at the Playa Norte RV Haven to catch up on publishing the last 5 days of blogs written while we were at the dry camp at Tecolote. Not bad digs for "working." The next two pictures are the sunsets from the workspace.

The color was almost unreal, every thing took on a pink cast. It was a joy.
