Second Day at Playa de Requeson 12.8.21
On our second day at this amazing playa, we were treated to sunrise that turned the world red. The sun sent red rays through the clouds which turned the playa gold and red. Those of us up early enough to see it and photograph it, felt it was one of the best we had ever experienced.
Jim took this dramatic picture of the sunrise. The color reflected in the clouds and water was amazing. The day started with heavy cloud cover which looked like it may rain. It was not cold though and by mid day it began to clear. We were soon out in our chairs enjoying. We have come to know the vendors who ply the Bahia Concepcion beaches. There is a young woman some of us bought shrimp, scallops or even yellow fin tuna from at both Santispec and Requeson. She also offered warm tamales, and banana bread on order as it came freshly baked to us the next day. All her food was fresh and very good.
The two sons who were very bored and playing with their iPhones. The family lives in Mulege up the road about 45 minutes away. This picture was taken at the same time. That is dad with the white sweat shirt showing some blankets to the two German women with a the young daughter of one of them. The young girl is the one who threw a second ball for Tucker resulting in him running around with two balls in his mouth. There was also a father and his two sons who came with their van packed with blankets, t-shirts or camisetas, bracelets and hats. He had shirts that sported Mulege in the text and designs to fit. He had so many sizes and colors. If you needed a certain on that he was not carrying on the beach, he would run back to the van, dig through his pile and find the one you needed, or thought you needed. Both these families live in Mulege up the road.
Jim and Tucker doing some kayaking at the playa. This is Tucker's second time on the kayak. We think he could be a contender! For what? We are not sure. Many of us agreed this playa was our favorite and as evening came and we began to pack up, take in the awnings, put the chairs away, it was with some regret we had only two days here. I will not forget watching the sunrise here as the fisherman down the beach was out on the water before the sun came up to make his catch of fresh fish for the day.
