Requeson 12.7.21
At 8:30 am we made an interesting departure from our Loreto site. The plan was that we would unwind by having those that had an unblocked access would move out and go down a street and line up on the next street over. We had also lined up on that street to give Darlene and Dave a chance to check out the spaces and tell us the order we should go in. We did so well. By 8:23 am, Jim and I being the first ones in were now the last one out. We hooked in record time as all were out on the street and waiting. Darlene and Dave were in place as number one, we just eased in behind them in number two position and as we started down the road, each rig according to the position pulled out behind us and we were all on our way by 8:30 with time to spare. What a group!
We traveled over the mountains again and came down to drive along the Bahia Concepcion. We pulled in at to the playa of Requeson at about 10:30 and just marveled. We all had loved Santispac earlier in the trip but this playa was breath taking.
Dave demonstrating how we all felt getting to this beach. The water is crystal clear and the air is soft and warm. There was only a little breeze coming off the water. The temperature was 80 degrees. You can wade out many feet into the water. We got lovely spots and all could enjoy the water and take it all in. The chairs and bathing suits quickly came out and Tucker and Pipi just started running and playing in big circles of pure joy. Cleo was immediately in the water doing her fishing.
Kristina and Paul brought out their umbrella and chairs as the children and our dogs played on the beach.During the afternoon, we were joined by two families from Germany with their 4 children. If the pups were happy, the kids were happier as they just burst out of the trailers running down the beach. Later Tucker discovered the children and one of the mom's playing a kind of paddle ball game. He immediately stole on of their balls and ran circles around them trying get them to chase him. They and their mom thought it as funny at first but after he stole the second ball, both in his mouth, and continued to run. It lost it's fun. He finally brought them back after a "stern" voice. It was funny and he was just having a great time. Must say the children were pretty amused also.
It is so difficult to have pictures do this place justice. As you sit on the beach, the softest breeze wafts over the water. It seems cooler here than some other stops, which could be a weather change but no matter, today was perfect for just sitting in the sun or walking in the water along the bay. It is very clear and not very deep quite far out. In fact, as the tide went out many people including the German families with their children walked across a sand spit to the other side where Bill and Liz climbed the little mountain above the inlet. Mangroves line the waters edge on the other side.
You can see people on the beach on the other side. The mangroves surround it. This was the lowest tide at Requison and you can see the exposed sand spit that leads across. It is walkable even during mid tides. One of the pups drug that stick over into the foreground.Tonight we had a campfire joined by all but one or two enjoying smores that Liz and Bill prepared and also joined by the German children who loved roasting the marshmallows over the fire. Many good conversations, all around, as we get to know each other very well. There was almost no wind tonight and everything got very quiet as the evening ended. We all notice a. bit of weather change that would be more evident tomorrow.

Greg got the best pictures of all three Escapes. Will hope to get a copy to add. This is Jim showing off his handy work aided by solar pineapples on the awning imported from his brother in law Michael's home in Newburg. Oregon.
